In Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, you’ll find items all over the place. Whether it is the severed horn from a Bokoblin or one of several different types of plant or mushroom, it’s easy to fill the entire rewards screen after each level with a random assortment of different items to aid you on your endeavour to save Hyrule from Calamity Ganon.

Items are so important because they’re used to complete all of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity’s quests, which provide rewards that give you access to more upgrades for your unlocked Age of Calamity characters, or unlock any of the roaming Age of Calamity merchants. Either way, you’ll want to gather any and all items possible and some are found in strange locations.

Luckily, we’ve been cataloguing the location of every single item in the game: those from monsters, those from completing missions, and those found by breaking things. So if you’ve been wondering where on earth you can find that pesky final Amber piece you need to complete a quest, look no further.

There are several different ways to get items in the game, and if you’re looking for that one item to complete any of the Age of Calamity quests, chances are that without some kind of reference point you’ll have to complete quest after quest until you work out where to find them.

Age of Calamity item locations We’ve divided each of the items into several types, with jumplinks below so that you can warp directly to that section. The general rule of thumb with each of them is this:

If it’s a body part or machinery, it drops from a defeated enemy If it’s a plant or reptile, you get it from chopping grass If it’s wood, you can get it from breaking boxes or chopping trees Anything else you obtain either from a chest or as a quest reward

Amiibo You can also get a random assortment of items by redeeming up to five Amiibo figures per day. Just tap a figure onto the NFC space either on the Switch itself or on a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller after selecting Amiibo from the main menu.

MonsterFieldMission/Challenges Monster items The most frequently obtained items are those harvested from monsters. Regular monsters have a chance of dropping one item, while larger variants have a chance to drop up to three, in addition to the chests that appear on their defeat. The only exception so far has been the Wizrobes, who drop magic rods or charges for their respective coloured magic.

All items, as well as a trophy for every single defeated monster of that type, are awarded to you after finishing the mission, even if you lose.

Field items You gather these items as you go through each level. You’ll always find them by breaking objects, chopping foliage, or opening chests. They’re awarded to you when you finish the mission, even if you fail your objective.

Occasionally, you’ll find items in buried chests. To uncover these, use the magnetism ability to pull them out from the ground first, then hit them to reveal your prize.
