When it comes to Hollywood relationships, Jennifer Lopez has had her fair share. The singer, dancer, and actress has been front and center of the tabloids for over three decades. Scoring leading roles in the mid-90s hits Selena, Out of Sight, and Anaconda, J-Lo switched to music at the turn of the century, hitting the big time with chart-topping songs like “If You Had My Love,” “Love Don’t Cost a Thing.” and “Jenny From the Block.” And while a huge success thanks to both her musical and acting talent, Lopez also made the headlines for her long array of famous lovers. Jennifer Lopez’s boyfriend list reads like a who’s who of Hollywood. Along with her current husband Ben Affleck, Lopez has paired up with singers, dancers, and even a baseball player. She’s been married four times and incredibly first dated Affleck almost two decades ago. Despite the two going their separate ways they have found each other again and are in a much healthier space for their relationship to flourish.  As she has said in countless interviews, Lopez is a big believer in love and taking chances when they present themselves. “When you’re in things, you do what feels right. And I don’t beat myself up over ‘I wish I had done this differently’ or ‘Did I do too much?’” she said in a recent interview with The New York Times. “That’s what was comfortable at the time. I did what I did. He did what he did. And it was fine. The relationship stuff had nothing to do with being public or not being public.” It’s that outlook on love that has helped Lopez lead a rich and fulfilling love life that has reached its zenith with her 2022 marriage to Affleck. From her high school sweetheart to rap mogul Puff Daddy and two time beau Affleck, here is a look at Lopez’s dating history.  The Jennifer Lopez Boyfriends List: A Timeline of All Her Relationships

  1. David Cruz E! News/YouTube Jennifer Lopez and David Cruz were high school sweethearts. The two were in a relationship for ten years, from 1984 – 1994, and despite going their separate ways, still shared a close bond. In an interview with Rolling Stone, she revealed how Cruz took her to the prom and how she got in contact with his mom when he passed away a few years ago. “I was like, ‘Hi. It’s Jennifer Lopez,’ and she was like, ‘Jennifer…’ I said, ‘I’m so sorry,’ and she started crying. I was like, ‘You know I loved David.’ She was like, ‘I know. He loved you, too. He always loved you.’” Lopez said. “You get lucky, you have a first love like that.”
  2. Ojani Noa s_bukley/Shutterstock In the space of one year, Jennifer Lopez met Ojani Noa, got married, and then divorced. The two met in 1997 when Lopez had just broken out as a movie star thanks to her role in Selene. At that time Noa was working as a waiter at Gloria Estefan’s restaurant in Los Angeles, but there must have been a bright spark between the two, as they were quickly married. But it didn’t last and less than a year later they were divorced.  Noa has been somewhat of a thorn in the side of J-Lo over the years. In 2004 he attempted to release a book about his time with Lopez while also shopping around a rumored sex tape for $10 million. Unfortunately for Noa, he had previously signed a confidentiality agreement that stopped him from taking any further action.  While he acts occasionally, Noa spends his days as a personal trainer, and of course, has his own OnlyFans account.
  3. Sean Combs DFree/Shutterstock Whether you call him Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, or Sean Combs, there is no doubt this relationship was a tumultuous one. The two were together from 1999 – 2001 but their time together was marred by rumors of Combs cheating on Lopez several times. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Lopez commented, “I never caught him, but I just knew. He’d say he was going to a club for a couple of hours and then never come back that night.” Not only was she faced with infidelity, but Lopez ended up in court after a shooting incident at Times Square nightclub in December of 1999. Both Lopez and Combs were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and possession of stolen property. Within hours the charges against Lopez had been dropped while Combs ended up in court, eventually proving his innocence and being acquitted of all charges in 2001.  Having stayed by Combs’ side during the trial, once the verdict was announced their relationship began to fizzle and came to an end shortly after. Despite all this, they remain good friends and often shout each other out on social media.
  4. Cris Judd Joe Seer/Shutterstock Jennifer Lopez’s relationship with Sean Combs, although ending, helped her understand what she wanted from her next relationship. “I had to think, do I want to be home with kids in ten years wondering where somebody is at three in the morning?” she told InStyle. That led Lopez to her next partner, one of her former backup dancers, Cris Judd.  The two met on the set of the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” music video that Judd directed. For Judd, it was love at first sight, telling Oprah Winfrey on an episode of Where Are They Now?; “So, when Jennifer walks in, I shake her hand and we kinda look at each other – and in my head, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to marry this woman.’” Judd’s prediction proved correct, with the two marrying not long after they began to date. Unfortunately for Judd things didn’t go to plan and the marriage lasted less than a year.”Coming out of a torrid relationship, I meet this sweet person who’s so refreshing,” she told Vibe magazine. “But marriage is not just about love. I thought I had learned that in my first marriage… I loved Cris, still love him, he’s one of the best people. This wasn’t an easy thing to walk away from, but we didn’t have what it takes to make a marriage work… Cris knows the last thing I ever wanted in this fucking world was to hurt him.”
  5. Ben Affleck DFree/Shutterstock The first time Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck met was shortly after her divorce from Cris Judd. The two met on the set of Gigi, a horrible romantic comedy that almost derailed Affleck’s career. They also starred together in Jersey Girl, another box-office bomb that didn’t help the publicity surrounding the duo. The two were soon crowned “Bennifer” by the tabloids, with Affleck famously appearing in the music video for Lopez’s “Jenny From the Block” where he caresses her rear end.  The two seemed to be generally in love, with Lopez dedicating her This Is Me… Then album to Affleck and the Armeggedon star proposing in November 2002. But just days before they were arranged to get hitched on September 14, 2003, Lopez pulled the plug on their relationship. They eventually split in 2004, with Lopez explaining that Affleck’s dislike of fame and the media scrutiny the two were under as the main factors for their split. Lopez described the breakup as “my first big heartbreak” and went on to tell People in 2016; “I think different time, different thing, who knows what could’ve happened, but there was a genuine love there.”
  6. Marc Anthony LOBEY/YouTube Jennifer Lopez doesn’t waste any time getting back on the horse. Just three months after splitting from Ben Affleck she was married to singer Marc Anthony. But unlike her other relationships, this one worked, at least for seven years. The former couple share custody of twins, Max and Emme, and are still great friends who always put their kids first.  Although the two seemed to be happy, it was Lopez who called it quits, something she touched on in her book True Love. “Marc Anthony came back into my life three days after I should have been at the altar saying ‘I do’ to another man,” she wrote. “Thinking back, maybe deep down I knew that this was a Band-Aid on the cut, that my wound hadn’t been stitched or healed. But I pushed all that to the back of my mind. Because life takes unpredictable twists and turns, right? And you’ve just got to go with what you feel is best in the moment.”
  7. Casper Smart Silvia Elizabeth Pangaro/Shutterstock Jennifer Lopez has a thing for backup dancers. While it didn’t turn out great for her and Cris Judd, Lopez and Casper Smart managed to make their relationship work for a solid five years. Although it was an on-again-off-again fling that went much longer than either had thought, they both appeared to enjoy the time they spent together. The biggest shocker about their courtship was the age difference, with Smart 18 years younger than Lopez. While this wasn’t a problem at the start, Smart believes in the long run it was one of the main reasons they broke up in 2016. “I was very young, I was 23 or 24, she was 18 years older, so she was about 42 years old with two kids. But in the moment, everything just clicked. We spent every day together for a year,” he said in an interview with Univision as reported by Hola! “I was very young and selfish. I thought I was ready for a relationship with a woman with kids and everything,” Another cause for the breakdown in their relationship was rumors Smart was also romancing another dancer.
  8. Drake  Kathy Hutchins/Shutterstock There’s a fair bit of skepticism surrounding Jennifer Lopez and Drake’s rumored fling. Photos of the two kissing at a prom-themed party they attended blew up the internet in 2016. Drake also posted photos of the two looking very close on his Instagram to increase speculation.  But in 2017, J-Lo set the record straight when she appeared on Ellen and said the two were just friends. That hasn’t stopped Drake from adding fuel to the relationship fire. Taken from his Scary Hours EP, the 2018 hit track “Diplomatic Immunity” finds Drake rapping “2010 was when I lost my halo/2017, I lost a J Lo.”  Whether they actually dated or just had a short fling, there is probably some truth in the rumors of the two having some sort of alliance.
  9. Alex Rodriguez lev radin/Shutterstock While it might seem like a bit of an old couple, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez had a lot in common when they began dating in 2017. Both have Latino backgrounds, come from New York, and have kids. The two made their red carpet debut at the 2017 Met Gala, sending the media into a tailspin. The two were engaged in 2019 and planned to marry in 2020 until the COVID-19 pandemic put an end to that.  They eventually split in April of 2021, with Lopez once again faced with infidelity. While neither party has confirmed the rumors, Rodriguez was alleged to have gotten close to reality TV star Madison LeCroy, although she denied they ever got intimate. Former Playboy Playmate Zoe Gregory also claimed Alex Rodriguez was sexting her a week after he got engaged to Lopez.  Whatever happened, the two parted amicably, issuing a statement on Today that read; “We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.”
  10. Ben Affleck Entertainment Tonight/YouTube Everything came full circle in 2021 when Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck rekindled their relationship two decades after they had first split. The two have kept in touch over the years and fate seemingly intervened when the two got back together. “We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things,” Lopez told People. “It’s a beautiful outcome that this has happened in this way at this time in our lives where we can really appreciate and celebrate each other and respect each other.” Less than a year after being together the pair got hitched in Las Vegas on July 17th, 2022. As reported by Page Six, the two then held three days of festivities for friends and family. This included a rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and Sunday BBQ/picnic. Fingers crossed this is happily ever after for the two Hollywood stars.

Taken from his Scary Hours EP, the 2018 hit track “Diplomatic Immunity” finds Drake rapping “2010 was when I lost my halo/2017, I lost a J Lo.”

Whether they actually dated or just had a short fling, there is probably some truth in the rumors of the two having some sort of alliance.

While it might seem like a bit of an old couple, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez had a lot in common when they began dating in 2017.

Everything came full circle in 2021 when Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck rekindled their relationship two decades after they had first split. The two have kept in touch over the years and fate seemingly intervened when the two got back together. “We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things,” Lopez told People. “It’s a beautiful outcome that this has happened in this way at this time in our lives where we can really appreciate and celebrate each other and respect each other.”

Less than a year after being together the pair got hitched in Las Vegas on July 17th, 2022. As reported by Page Six, the two then held three days of festivities for friends and family. This included a rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and Sunday BBQ/picnic. Fingers crossed this is happily ever after for the two Hollywood stars.
